Our Approach: Verify Once, Access Everywhere
Xident introduces a simple but powerful concept: users should only need to verify their age once.
Here’s how it works:
- First visit: User completes a quick selfie verification (under 10 seconds)
- Create Xident ID: Optionally, they save their verification to a Xident account
- Future visits: Log in instantly on any site using Xident
For site owners, this means:
- Higher conversion rates (no repeated friction)
- Lower costs (token verification is significantly cheaper than full verification)
- Happy, verified users
Privacy by Design
We believe privacy and verification can coexist:
- No photos stored: Face images are processed client-side and never sent to our servers
- No PII shared: Sites only learn “this person is over 18” — nothing else
- User control: Users can see exactly which sites they’ve verified with and revoke access anytime
- GDPR compliant: Built for European privacy standards from day one
